Passive Stack Ventilation

Passive Stack Ventilation provides extract and supply air to a dwelling using controlled openings. Extraction of stale air is via humidity controlled valves and utilises the 'Stack Effect' to extract the air to atmosphere. The system uses natural forces, therefore consumes no energy.

Fresh Air is supplied via humidity-controlled vents positioned in the window or wall.

When humidity levels increase in the wet rooms, the valves will automatically open to allow increased extract. When humidity levels are low, the valves close to a minimum level reducing the rate of extract, therefore preventing over-ventilating and loss unnecessary of heat.
