Hi-Spec Offers Warm Air Heating Upgrade Opportunities.

The direct replacement of early domestic warm air heaters from the 1960's and 70's with modern versions is now achievable with the extended Hi-Spec range from Johnson & Starley. There are now a number of models available from the J25 downflow air heaters for easy compartment installation through the J90 for large houses and are all available at an extremely competitive cost

All the Hi-Spec models offer performance levels well above those of earlier generation warm air heaters. Heaters were intially designed for use with town's gas and were subsequently converted to natural gas. They lost considerable efficiency during the process so that today they could be operating as low as 60% efficiency

The Hi-Spec range has a number of new features dependent upon model including a TTB flue spillage monitoring device and cut-off as well as an oxygen depletion safety device. Features such as a modulating control system, summer air circulation, Cleanflow electronic air filtration, duct fitting kits and a water heater can be included too.

At the smaller output end of the range, the J25RS-ET provides outputs of 6.44kW to 7.33kW (22,000 - 25,000 Btu/h). The largest output heater is the J90 which has been designed for the full heating of larger houses and has a range output of 20.5kW to 26.4kW (70,000 - 90,000 Btu/h)

All Hi-Spec models can also be specified for new build projects and are fully compliant with Part L of the Building Regulations. New datasheets have just been published on the range and copies are available from the Marketing Department at Johnson & Starley or are downloadable from the Website.
