It’s natural to think that the air
in our homes and offices is clean. But who hasn’t been amazed
at the ‘soup’ of floating particles, which is sometimes
shown up by a shaft of sunlight? A ‘cocktail’ of dust
from papers, fibres from clothing and soft furnishings, and pollen
from plants.
Does it magically disappear when the sun
stops shining? Of course not, and given time, the larger particles
can be seen again in any light – when they’ve settled
on window sills, tables, desks, and furniture generally. Meanwhile
many others will have been inhaled.
And these are only the particles you can
see – there are many more that can damage the lungs but are
invisible to the naked eye – it’s only visible in concentrations
of millions of parts. It ‘disappears’ when diluted in
a large volume of air – betrayed only by the smell which clings
to hair, clothing and furnishings. How many other particles lurk
unsuspected because we can’t see them? Many bacteria are the
same size as tobacco smoke.
Cleaner air
The Cleanflow Petite’s unique polarised filter can improve
your living and working conditions by significantly reducing the
number of particles floating in the air. Air is drawn through a
pair of electrically charged pads to which particles are attracted
like a magnet, and held. Cleaner air then passes back into the room.
How clean?
No air cleaner will remove all particles in a single pass, but tests
show that the Petite’s system is extremely efficient –
collecting up to 97% of all particles. And unlike ionising devices,
it doesn’t electrically charge them, so that any which escape
first time don’t stick to (and soil) anything nearby, and
can be caught later. Nor does it produce ozone, so it’s really
safe.
Flexible and affordable
The Petite is simplicity itself to use. Just place it wherever it’s
needed, plug in, and switch on. There’s a high speed setting
for party time or for large areas such as a conference or rest room.
And a low speed setting that’s quite enough to use in a bedroom,
or in an office where very low noise levels are desirable.
Running and maintenance costs can be forgotten. Even at high speed
setting it consumes little more electricity than a night-light,
and in normal domestic use the inexpensive filter pads will need
to be changed only 2-3 times a year. In an office, the interval
between replacement will depend on usage. Filter replacement takes
only a moment, and no tools are needed. Anyone can do it.
Stylish & portable
The Cleanflow Petite is compact in size, and because it draws air
in at the front and discharges it at the sides it can be placed
against a wall so as not to intrude into living or working space.
It has a recessed handle at the back and it’s light enough
to move it easily to wherever it’s needed – in the home,
use it during the day to clean the air downstairs, and then in the
children’s bedroom to aid a good night’s sleep.
Attractively finished in black ash or light oak veneer, and discreetly
styled, the Petite looks at home in any home, office, or rest room.
